What we are providing
Ambulances within Stafford Township are staffed with BLS (Basic Life Support) Providers, carrying the certification of "EMT" (Emergency Medical Technician). This is a certification earned after a provider attends over 240 hours of clinical education to recognize and treat various medical situations, administer certain medications, and perform other life saving interventions. Actions like CPR (Cardiovascular Pulmonary Resuscitation), Tourniquet and bleeding control techniques, splinting mechanisms for traumatic injuries, and obtaining baseline vital signs of the human body. Together, these actions blend to create the beginning stages of a medical provider; with a goal of delivering the patient to definitive care. Additionally, our units are also staffed with Emergency Certified Drivers who supplement the EMTs to form a complete BLS Unit.
