The 2008 training schedule will be posted soon. It will be posted on the training page on this website and in the large duty crew room.

Squad elections are coming up soon. Please don't forget to vote and place your sealed ballot in the mailbox in the garage bay. Elections will be held at the general meeting on Tuesday November 13 at 20:00 hours. All ballots must be received prior to the start of the meeting.

In New Jersey, the Department of Health and Senior Services, Office of Emergency Management, issued an Epinephrine AutoInjector Interim Policy in December, 2006. The interim policy allows EMT-Basics (the largest type of EMTs in the state) to carry and administer epinephrine auto-injectors for the treatment of anaphylaxis. It is important to note, however, that the policy is a voluntary one. A number of local ambulance squads have adopted the policy, but the majority of squads throughout NJ still do not fully authorize EMT-Basics to carry and administer epinephrine. Squad 38 is now authorized to carry epinephrine in our rigs, however EMT's must attend a mandatory class to administer epinephrine. For those who missed the first class a second one will be available soon. The time and date for this class will be posted in the training page.
